Dear Family & Friends,
I am participating in the 2017 Liz Hurley Ribbon Run 5k (October 21st in Huntsville, AL) on the "KBRwyle Leadership Association" Team! We are a local Chapter of the National Management Association (NMA) through my company. (www.KBRwyleNMAHuntsville.com)
Help me meet my goal of $500 to support the Breast Centers at Huntsville and Madison Hospitals. This year all proceeds will go to help purchase an additional 3D digital tomosynthesis mammography equipment for the breast centers. This technology creates a 3-dimensional picture of the breast using X-Rays; making the breast cancer easier to detect in dense breast tissue.
I'm walking in memory of my Grandmother, Geneva Duke who was a breast cancer survivor and was very active each year in breast cancer events. I have also purchased a luminary to be on display in her honor.
Cancer doesn't care about your age, your race, or your sex! It's important to encourage your friends and family to conduct self exams, attend your yearly wellness exams, talk to your doctor if you notice any changes in your body and get your mammogram each year! Early detection is key.
An estimated 252,710 new cases of invasive breast cancer and about 63,410 new cases of non-invasive breast cancer are anticipated for 2017 alone. (source: cancer.org) That's a lot of women, men, and families touched by breast cancer.
Please donate what you are able no matter how small to help me reach my $500 goal by clicking the pink "Support Amanda" button! OR consider participating in the 5k walk with me by clicking the pink "Join Amanda's Team" button!
Every little bit helps and I greatly appreciate your donations!!
Peace & Grace,
